Woman Arrested for Biting off Ex- Boyfriend’s Tongue in Namibia

According to news reaching CEOAFRICA.com from Namibia, a man is presently in critical condition after he had his tongue bitten off by his ex-girlfriend.

The man, whose name has not been disclosed for safety reasons, is believed to be a resident of Akuna Iihole village, near Ondamgwa. He is 36 years of age.

According to police investigation, the victim and his friends, including his ex-girlfriend were drinking at a cuca shop around 19h00 in the evening, when his ex-girlfriend received a text message from another man. The victim tried to grab the phone from his ex-girlfriend in order to read the message, but the girls refused and in the middle of the struggle, the victim attempted to turn the girl’s arm around her back, trying to bite her so as to collect the phone, but unfortunately the girl got hold of his tongue and allegedly bit it off. The girl is said to be 21 years old.

While confirming the incident, the Oshana Police spokesperson Thomas Aiyambo said a case of grevious bodily harm has been opened and official arrest of the suspect was carried out immediately the case was reported at the Police station. The victim is currently in the police custody.

Meanwhile, the victim is presently on admission at the Onandjokwe Lutheran hospital. According to sources, the man is in a very bad condition because he suffered a loss of three centimeter long piece of the tongue which was bitten off, as well as circa three litres of blood.
