The football game that Pope Francis organise , 'United for Peace' charity match in Rome witnessed some of the biggest stars on earth; Ronaldinho,  Francesco Totti ,Diego Maradona, Hernan Crespo, Cafu, Gianluca Zambrotta, Roberto Carlos, Juan Sebastian Veron and Fabio Capello.

The gane took place at the Stadio Olimpico, and Maradona was unsurprisingly the headline act, with local hero Totti and former Barcelona and Brazil man Ronaldinho also making the headlines.

Maradona did not disappoint with his fiery temper that is still in tact as he clashed with Juan Sebastian Veron, a player he once coached, during the charity match.

Maradona said before the game: 'The Pope invited me. He is a Pontiff who is loved by everyone.

'He does a good job. I went away from the church, but he was the one who made me have faith again.  We need peace nowadays, worldwide.

'We do not want violence nor so many innocent children to die. I’m afraid for my children. I would like to help more than I already do.
