The management of Nigeria Professional Football League side, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, have announced the appointment of Kenichi Yatsuhashi, a Japanese-American and former head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak as their new Head Coach.
According to CEOAFRICA’s source, Premium times, the club, still basking in the euphoria of their Federation Cup triumph, in a statement explained that they went for Yatsuhashi because of his vast experience and the belief that he can help take FC Ifeanyi Ubah to the ‘next level’.
“He (Yatsuhashi) holds a USSFA and National Youth Coaching licence, a CONCACAF International Coaching licence, an NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma and a KNBV Advanced Diploma, IFA GK Certificate and FIFA and FIFA/AFC Grassroots Certificate,” the Anambra based team stated.
The club also announced the appointment of Yaw Preko as the new Assistant Coach/Physical Trainer.
Yaw Preko is joining FC Ifeanyi Ubah from Accra Hearts of Oak where he was acting head coach.
The Ghanaian was a former top striker with Turkish football club, Fenerbahce S.K.
In other related development, the club also promoted its current Bulgarian Head Coach, Mitko Dobrev, to the position of Technical Director whilst its Brazilian assistant coach, Rafael Everton, has been asked to retain his position in addition to a new role as Head Coach, Youth Development of the club’s Academy.
The official unveiling of newly appointed technical officials will take place on November 16.
