Gambia’s N’ASS elongates Jammeh’s tenure for three months.

The Gambia’s National Assembly (N’ASS) has adopted a resolution to allow Gambia’s President, Yahya Jammeh to stay in power for three more months, despite today, which ought to be his last official day as president.

According to Ceoafrica, Yahya Jammeh, who has ruled The Gambia for 22 years, initially acknowledged opponent, Adama Barrow, as the winner of the Gambia’s election in December, but later rejected the result, over anomalies he discovered and called for annulment and conduct of fresh elections with complacent electoral officials.

Adama Barrow, who defeated President Yahya Jammeh in the Gambia’s 1st of December polls, is due to be inaugurated tomorrow as Gambia’s president.
