The lawyer (Sammy Mahlangu) of the three suspects arrested in South Africa over the burglary at the office of the Country’s Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mgoeng, has said that they denied being involved in the crime.

According to Ceoafrica, Fifteen computers were stolen from his office on Saturday morning, in a robbery which fuelled speculation that security agents were trying to intimidate judges who had given damning rulings against President Jacob Zuma and his government.

Given Msimango, 20, and Bigboy Jose, 37, appeared in court today, but Mr Mahlangu said the charge sheet made no mention of the theft.

He added that, “the charges against them relate to firearms and no mention was made in the media about any firearms having been stolen at the chief justice's office. On this basis they were not linked to the crimes”.

Mr Maglangu said a third accused was released without being charged.
