The Oyo League of Achievers (OLA) has uncovered an attempt by the Senator Rasheed Ladoja led Accord Party to use Nigerian Alert newspaper to discredit the government of Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.

in a statement issued by the coordinator of the league Tayo Buhari said that the league has discovered that the campaign of calumny has started with the newspaper’s editorial titled: ‘The Loquacious Oyo Governor’. In the editorial, many foul and gutter languages were used on the people’s governor, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.

The league said as a concerned group the Publisher of the newspaper, Dr Azeez popoola Adeduntan who is more like a brother to Senator Ajimobi has allowed disreputable Accord Party and its retinue of detractors to use his newspaper as a base to launch offensive against Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

"We are not in any way surprised by this trend because we are aware that Senator Rasheed Ladoja has been looking for every available crooked opportunity to embark on a vicious barbaric method to bring down Ajimobi’s government. Because Senator Ladoja lacks integrity, he is now looking for every opportunity to pull down a government installed by the Almighty and the people of Oyo state. That is why today, he is bringing into his fold many individuals all because he is afraid of the achievements of Senator Abiola Ajimobi in the last two years."

"Ladoja is a loser and that is why he is today looking for like minds to bring down government of the people. The people of Oyo state should be wary of Ladoja and his fellow detractors who have been mandated to do everything within their power to bring down Ajimobi’s government."

The leaugue however appeal to the Publisher of Nigerian Alert newspaper who according to our findings is a man of integrity not to allow Ladoja to use his newspaper to do the Accord Party’s dirty works. saying that if the campaign of calumny against Senator Abiola Ajimobi did not stop, this group will not hesitate to report Nigerian Alert newspaper to Nigeria’s Press Council over what we regarded as deliberate and calculated attempt to discredit Ajimobi’s government.
