Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, (Abia North-PDP), has said that the N125 billion appropriated to the National Assembly is not adequate to carry out its functions effectively and efficiently.

Ohuabunwa said this while fielding questions from newsmen at his constituency office in Ohafia at the weekend. He said this in reaction to the 2017 budget.

He said that the additional N10 billion inserted in the budget compared to the 2016 budget would strengthen oversight functions by members of the National Assembly.
