All arrangements have been put in place to host representatives of the Oyo State Governor and that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Labour Party and Accord Party for a media chat at CEOAfrica, an online media organisation in Ibadan, to examine the achievements of the Governor in the last six years

The interactive session, which will witness the presence of journalists from various media houses, is scheduled to hold tomorrow, Saturday 27th May, 2017 at CEOAfrica building located at 24, Kudeti Avenue, Onireke, Ibadan by 11 AM.

With the interactive session themed: An Appraisal of Governor Ajimobi’s Six Years in Governance, the representatives of the political parties who are billed to appear at the media chat are; Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the Public Relations Officer of Accord Party; Hon Taiwo Ibrahim, the Director of Publicity, Oyo State Labour Party; Mr Akeem Azeez, the Public Relations Officer of SDP; and Hon Alarape Asimiyu, the Administrative Secretary in charge of PDP in Oyo State. Also to be present is a representative of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the person of Dr Morounkola Thomas, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters.

In the spirit of this, CEOAfrica took to the streets of Ibadan to obtain people’s evaluation of Ajimobi’s administration in the last six years.

In spite of the fact that some people were wary of sharing their thoughts on the issue, many others however expressed their opinion of the Governor’s performance during the past six years as well as suggested the areas the government should improve on in the two years left of the tenure.

While some of the respondents, citing numerous reasons, rated the performance of the Governor as low, some others stated that Ajimobi’s first term was more people-oriented than his second term, thereby rating his performance as average, majority however, noted that Ajimobi’ s efforts in improving Oyo State is quite commendable.
