CEOAfrica to host Ex-National Head of Service, Prof Oladapo Afolabi

CEOAfrica, an online media platform which celebrates the achievements of African Entrepreneurs is set to host the Acting Pro-Chancellor of the Technical University, Ibadan Professor Oladapo Afolabi, today, 25th July, 2017.

Professor Afolabi will feature as a guest in an exclusive interview on “Community Today” a programme on CEOAfrica Television, where he will discuss the effect of unionism activities on tertiary education in Nigeria.

The interview which would hold at the CEOAfrica Building at 24, Kudeti Avenue, Onireke, Ibadan, will witness the presence of journalists from other media organisations who will engage the Professor on various issues relating to tertiary education in Nigeria.

Professsor Adesina, who began his professional career at the University of Ile-Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has at various times, served as the Head of the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry respectively. He also served on several Departmental and Faculty Committees such as Faculty Review Panel, Departmental Review Panel, Results amendment Committee.

As an Applied Chemist/Biochemist who specialized in environmental and food/nutritional chemistry, Prof Adesina’s research interest in the last 34 years covers a wide range of issues concerning environment and food security in the third world. His research interest also extends to environmental pollution and he has consulted for both government and the private sectors in this area.

The Professor who was the Former Head of Service of the Federation, has over the years acquired vast experiences heading and serving in various government ministries, organisational committees and international bodies. He is a recipient of numerous awards including a National Honour as an Officer of the Niger (OON) in 2009 and a Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) in 2010/2011.
