Governor Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa on Monday while receiving the Adamawa chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Government House, Yola pledged to empower more women and youths in the state.
He advocated for more women participation in socio-economic activities, adding that their contributions would add more value to the development of the state.
My administration has brought political stability as well as re-defined governance to the people of Adamawa, Bindow said.
While expressing his opinion on governance, Bindow noted that the bane of bad governance was insincerity on the part of leaders, adding that he had surmounted that challenge, leading to the construction of 219 kms of roads even against the background of economic recession.
Mrs Halima Abdurlahaman, FIDA Chairperson in the state, commended the governor for his giant strides developmental projects cut across the state also appealed to the governor to assist FIDA to complete its secretariat and to attend the forthcoming FIDA international conference in Bahamas in November.
Bindow promised to assist FIDA to complete its secretariat and also support the women lawyers to attend the international conference in the Bahamas.
