Lagos- Coca-Cola Nigeria, at the annual Body, Soul and Sprit (BSS) Women Conference organized by gemWoman Magazine, has reinforced the need for individuals in general and women in particular to imbibe healthy living. This call was made by Dr. Maltida Kerry-Osazuwa, Founder of George Kerry Foundation, who spoke on behalf of Coca-Cola Nigeria at the 11th edition of BSS Women Conference held at The Vantage Point Events Centre in Ikeja, Lagos State on 2nd October 2017. Themed ‘Greater Heights’, the event focused on rejuvenating every aspect of life to create the all-round woman.

Dr. Kerry-Osazuwa shared five key tips that can assist individuals in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The tips are “eat well, move daily, hydrate often, sleep lots and love your body.” She said individuals should strive to have a healthy balance of all classes of food, engage in regularly exercise, drink water in the right proportion and ensure that adequate seven to nine hours rest for adults is imperative in order to avoid diseases that easily affect the human immune system.” She urged women to also make sure they check their bodies periodically to look out for any change, especially signs of lumps in their breasts which can result to breast cancer if not detected in good time.

The event was attended by Her Excellency, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, the First Lady of Kwara State; Mrs. Toun Okewale Sonaiya, CEO, WFM 91.7; Bisi Ibitayo, CEO of Limelight EduCunsult; as well as top female executives, professionals and entrepreneurs from within and outside Lagos.

The BSS Women Conference took the women participants through inspiration, music, fashion exhibition, drama and lots more. The BSS began in 2007 with a vision to inspire women out of obscurity, driving them to succeed amidst all odds. The 11th edition, this year showed even more commitment to the positive transformation of the nation through women empowerment.

Coca-Cola’s continuous support for the BSS Women Conference reinforces the company’s consistent belief in empowering women in Nigeria and their commitment to human empowerment, inspiration and sharing happiness.
