Gernot Rohr Deservers New Contract -Okumagba

The National president of Nigeria Football Supporters Clubs (NFSC) Chief Vincent Okumagba has described the proposed two years contract extension of the Super Eagles’ Coach Gernot Rohr by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as deserving and respectable one, calling on all and sundry to support the tactician.

The NFSC boss made the call while reacting on the acquisition of more befitting office by the Oyo State branch of the body, while expressing his optimism on the ability of the Super Eagles Coach making a brilliant outing with Nigeria in Russia next year.

Okumagba who commended the Oyo NFSC said the acquisition of the office inside the former Liberty Stadium now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan is a bid to ensure good coordination of members and better preparation towards Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup by the state chapter.

He affirmed that his faction of the supporters club have their presence in all states of the federation with everyday increase in numerical strength of the members.

Speaking on the same vein, the acting chairman of Oyo NFSC chapter, Engr. Laaro Subair said the development was geared towards giving the branch of the association a strong footing and a better leverage to prepare for outing with Super eagles come next year in Russia.

He disclosed that an election into various position would soon be conducted while a grassroots Under-17 football competition would also be organised by the body with view to help the State Football Association discover talent at the grassroots.
