Revealed: Tattoo, dreadlocks doesn't automatically make you a criminal- Dolapo Badmus tells Nigeria youths to know their right

The Lagos State Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Dolapo Opeyemi Badmus, has urged Nigerians to resist the intimidation of any law enforcement officer trying to arrest them simply because they have tattoos on their bodies or dreadlocks on their head.

Badmus in a tweet posted on Thursday morning, after she joined the panelists of the social media week seminar to address the topic – “Social Media Wars- Dreads, Tattoos, and Passwords’ contributing from the angle of a law enforcement officer.

In a tweet posted on Thursday morning, Dolapo wrote;

';';HAVING TATTOO ON YOUR BODY OR DREADLOCKS ON YOUR HEAD DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU A CRIMINAL. Resist the intimidation of any law enforcer who wants to use that as basis to terrorize you by remaining calm,firm, courteous and insisting on not being a criminal for having that.';';

She further urged Nigerians to resist the intimidation of any law enforcer who wants to use that as the basis to terrorize them by remaining calm, firm, courteous and insisting on not being a criminal for having tattoo or dreadlocks.
