JSay Pre-varsity on 9th of July, 2020 held its first online graduation ceremony for 2019/2020 set of its Cambrigde 'A' Level students.

The Head of School, Dr. Mrs Olajumoke Akere while speaking with CEOAFRICA correspondent in Ibadan, revealed that since the lockdown of schools across the nation, JSay Pre-varsity students have never stopped learning.

The institute has been conducting its lectures virtually and they have been able to complete the 2019/2020 session without delay. She stated that it is a tradition of the institute to have a graduation ceremony for its students every session and this session will not be an exception. She further states that the graduation programme will be held virtually.

She added that the institute will be graduating sixty (60) students who have successfully completed their Cambridge ‘A’ Level examinations. According to Dr. Akere, the institute which offers TOEFL, SAT, GRE, JUPEB and ‘A’ Level classes with students coming from all over Africa has always produced top quality students who come out with the best results in the various departments of any university they find themselves. She mentions that just last year, the British Council announced the pre-varsity had the top Cambridge ‘A’ Level result in Nigeria. She believes that the current graduating set of students will also do well like the ones in the past.

JSay Pre-varsity is an organized, systematic institute based at Oluyole Estate, Ibadan. They have a well organized classroom, hostel facilities, laboratories and other educational centres that assure quality academic output.

As part of the preparation of the institute for the post-COVID-19 resumption of schools, Dr. Mrs. Akere mentioned that the institute has made new modifications to their facilities in line with the rules of containing and preventing the spread of corona virus. They have ensured the spacing of hostel beds and sitting positions in the classrooms; created different stands for hand washing and ensured that hand sanitizers are available for the students to use with strict compliance to the usage of face masks. The institute has been certified by the Oyo state government to resume and admit new students for a new session.
