The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) will on Tuesday, July 21, inaugurate Sir Muftau Oyegunle as its 50th President and Chairman of Council of the oldest professional institute in Nigeria.
According to a statement by the professional body, Sir Oyegunle, will take over from Mr Eddie Efekoha, the Managing Director, Consolidation Hallmark Insurance Plc who has just completed his two-year tenure. The ceremony will be held virtually.
The statement read: “The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria is set to inaugurate Sir, Muftau Oyegunle as its President and Chairman of Council after the tenure of Mr. Eddie Efekoha elapsed after two years at the helm of affairs,” the statement added.
Sir Oyegunle’s path to Presidency of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria is replete with acts of dedication and service to the Institute over 26years in actively functioning variouscapacities. Herosetothe position of Chairman, Kaduna branch of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria from 1994 to 1996 and was voted into Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria council in 2009 where he has remained a member to date.
