Photo News: Oyo PCRC Chairman, Omofoye bags an award of stewardship

The Oyo State Chairman of the Police Community Relation Commitee, Reverend Peter Omofoye, has bagged the award of a “Patron” of the choir of the First Olukotun Baptist Church Choir Iwo, Osun State.

The award ceremony took place on Sunday, 18th October, 2020 at Church premises, Iwo, Osun State.

Rev. Omofoye while expressing his joy in an interview with CEOAFRICA appreciates God for the honour availed him to serve in God’s vineyard, stating that First Olukotun Baptist Church Iwo has been his church from birth and has molded him into the man he is today.

He said “I feel elated and very happy. I thank God that this day came to me at this crucial time of my life. This is the church I was born, the place I was baptized”.

Omofoye who has served in various position in the church among which are; choir member, Royal Ambassador Plenipotentiary, Pastor of the Royal Ambassador, Associate Pastor for youth, to mention but a few said he sees it as his duty to serve God as he is the source of all that he is today.

He “I have taken it as my duty to serve God, he is the one that has brought me up and made me what I am today and the blessing of this church has been following me all the days of my life”

He also advised the choir members to be morally upright and desist from every form of immorality adding that they should practice what they sing.

“They should be moral, disciplined, not just a choir, they should respect words of the songs they are singing to everyone, act in the same way they sing and run away from sexual immorality and everything that does not come with holiness” he said.

In the same vein, the pastor of First Olukodun Baptist Church, Mr Soji Adedeji who also spoke with CEOAFRICA praised Rev. Omofoye, stating that he has always been good to the church of God and encouraged him to keep it up as God always rewards good works.

“This man is serviceable; he has always been good to the church of God. We just want to advice that he continue in the note. There is nothing that you do for God that will not be rewarded” he said.

The DPO Monaton Division, Oyo State Command, CSP Faloye O Folusho who was also present at the service congratulated Rev  Peter whom he calls his spiritual father and prayed that God grants him the grace to fulfil all his promises to the choir.

Also present at the service were friends from the police force, members of PCRC, friends and family.
