Hausa and Yoruba community in Fagba, Iju-Ishaga, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area are in an ongoing ethnic clash with several houses torched.

Residents in the affected areas are in panic over the absence of security personnel.

There have been a number of unconfirmed casualties.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, appealed to community leaders to intervene for calm.

 “There is curfew in town everybody should remain in their houses. Police overstretched, it’s a collective struggle,” the PPRO said.
