The Women Award Championship has unveiled  the trophies for the International Women Swimming Championship to the First Lady of Nigeria, her Excellency Dr Mrs Aisha Buhari.

The theme of the  unveiling event which is set to hold today at the conference hall of the African First Ladies Peace Mission, Abuja is tagged “ PEACEFUL, POWERFUL AND PROSPERIOUS POTENTIAL OF WOMEN IN ALL SPHERES OF LIFE”.

The International Women Swimming Championship and Empowerment Training is one of the many economical development and empowerment programmes championed by the first lady in her bid to boost and provide economic and vital supports and skills to the less privileged especially to young girls and vulnerable women in rural communities.

The unveiling event seeks to honour the remarkable achievements of the wife of the president in her struggle towards child right protection, governance, women empowerment, peace and security, national and regional integration, building sustainable livelihood for the less privileged girls and a host of others.

Abuja the capital of Nigeria is now witnessing an unprecedented gathering for the first International Women Award Swimming Championship in collaboration with the African First Ladies Peace Mission.
