Bayelsa Police arrest 2 suspects with 125 live ammunition

Bayelsa- Wednesday, 14 April 2021: The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly possessing 125 rounds of live ammunition.
The suspects, who are identified as Solomon Ibe, 43, and Chris Amuka, 23, were arrested on Tuesday at Ovom Waterside, Yenagoa.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Asinim Butswat, disclosed to newsmen that the suspects were arrested while trying to ferry one bag of weed, suspected to be Indian hemp, to the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.
He added that were assisting the police in their investigations.
The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa Command, Mike Okoli, has urged the public to continue to assist the police with useful information to curtail crime in the State.
