Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria holds health walk, organises free medical outreach in Ibadan

As part of the activities of her 27th Annual Conference tagged “Oluyole 2024”, the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP) went for a health walk from Signature Hotel to Challenge Road in Ibadan, on Wednesday, June 6, 2024.

The health walk culminated in a medical outreach at Victory International Church premises, Rehoboth Cathedral, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan where over 10 million worth of free drugs were distributed.

National Chairman of the Association, Pharm. Ken Onuegbu, appreciated the church committee for allowing the outreach at the premises, urging the participants to cooperate with the team of Doctors, Nurses, and Pharmacists available to ensure their medical health care.

There was a massive turnout of youths, adults and aged ones for the medical outreach. Members of Ibadan community were appreciative of the gesture from NAIP, throwing heaps of prayers for the free medical care.

The Oluyole 2024 has also witnessed the opening ceremony with plenary sessions and social night. The Keynote Address speaker for the opening ceremony is Prof. Oludele Adelanwa Itiola of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ibadan. There will be two plenary sessions at the conference

The first plenary session will be delivered by the Director, Narcotics and Control Substances, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Pharm. (Mrs) Yedunni Adenuga, on the topic “Control Substances and the Promotion of Access to Medicine: the Meeting Point”.
