Chrisland University, Ogun State has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for all the academic programmes offered in the institution.
In a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the varsity by the commission dated 6th June 2024, exclusively obtained by CEOAFRICA, the results of the accreditation exercise held in October/November 2023 scored the varsity hundred percent.
The NUC scores for each programme ranged from 80% to 95%. This is not far from the quality of education offered in the institution backed with good learning environment, effective research equipment and necessary tools for producing worldclass graduates.
The courses are, Accounting and Business Administration (Administration); Public Health (Allied Health Sciences); Computer Science (Computing); Biochemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (Science); as well as, Criminology and Security Studies, Economics, Political Science and Psychology (Social Science).
Speaking to CEOAFRICA, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Peace Chinedum Babalola, expressed her excitement at the results from the NUC, while giving kudos to the management team and all staff of the institution for the great achievement.
Prof. Babalola specially expressed her appreciation to the Founder/Chancellor of the University, High Chief Dr. Mrs Winifred Awosika OON, and members of the Board of Trustees for providing the resources to keep the university running. She also thanked the Pro-Chancellor, Distinguished Prof. Ayodeji Olukoju, members of council, principal officers, staff and students for their generous support.
Babalola said that the varsity would not relent on her efforts to stand on the global stage of academic excellence, and producing graduates who will stand as global giants with relevance.
“Our university is always known for excellence. The results of the accreditation exercise proves the quality of our efforts here, and it has encouraged our morale to stand on the global stage,” she said.
