The federal government has placed a ban on single-use plastics in all ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to address the growing issue of plastic pollution in the country.

Iziaq Salako, minister of state for environment, said the ban was approved on Tuesday during the federal executive council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu.
