Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology Ibadan to name buildings after meritorious leaders

Provost of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State, Dr. Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, has revealed that the management of the institution has plans to name some of its buildings after individuals who have served meritoriously in the school.

Owosibo disclosed this at the 50th Anniversary Reunion of the 1972/1974 set of the school held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the institution in Ibadan.

Welcoming the excited aged men and women, the Provost of the college expressed his joy on the efforts of the old students to give back to the college system and hold a reunion. He described it as a thing of joy that the event took place during his administration.

Announcing some of the many contributions of the national alumni body to the campus, Owosibo highlighted that the alumni body had donated public male and female toilets for the institution, laid a foundation of an alumni building during the 60th anniversary of the institution held earlier this year.

He also added that individuals among the alumni body have also contributed immensely to training off and outside the campus, among the employment opportunities made available for the students of the school after graduation. He mentioned the huge contributions of the CEO of Animal Care Services Konsult, Dr. And Dr Mrs. Tunde Agbato.

In the light of this, Owosibo recognized the efforts of the alumni and past leaders like Mr. Ola Buraimo who according to him, have served meritoriously, stating that “we are reaping from the labour of the past.”

According to him, “If they have not done well, we will not be where we are today. We will like to honour those who have served.”

The Provost then noted that plans are on ground to name some of the buildings in the school after meritorious leaders.

At the event are, Representative of Minister is South West Coordinator Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Deputy Provost of the college (Administration), Dr. Ogunleke Funmilayo; College Registrar, Mr. Nathaniel Adeolu Jolaiya; CEO Animal Care and Services Konsult Nigeria Ltd, Dr. Mrs. Olufunmilayo Agbato; a lecturer of the set, Prof. Akin Sofoluwe (rtd); President of the 72/74 set, Hon. Prince Oreoluwa Fabunmi; National President of the Alumni body of the College, Pastor Femi Lumpkin; initiator of the reunion, Chief Leke Dada; the 72/74 class set, friends and families.
