The varsity held its 1st maiden Inaugural Lecture delivered by a Professor of Political Science and International Relations, Professor Babafemi Adesina Badejo on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 at the University Auditorium.

At the lecture titled “Interests”, Prof. Badejo said the plethora of challenges confronting Nigeria today have prompted agitations for restructuring, proposing a return to Nigeria’s pre-civil war confederal system of government, describing it as the best for Nigeria.

Reminiscing on the theme of the lecture, Prof. Babalola harped on the connecting links between interest and corruption which she said is rooted in ethnic bias, racial discrimination, and religion intolerance, noting that people have different interests.

The Vice Chancellor who described last year’s inaugural lecture as a towering intellectual feat for the University will receive all and sundry for this year’s event that will contribute to knowledge and the academic community.
