Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria and The Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA) Lagos are set to host a Herbal Medicine Conference featuring distinguished line of speakers that include; The Director General of NNMDA, Prof. M, Emeje, a Professor of Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine, Prof M, Iwu a Professor of Pharmacognosy at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Prof. Olukemi Odukoya, a Professor of Pharmacognosy at the University of Lagos and Prof Regina Appiah-Opong a Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Ghana.
This historic scientific conference is slated for 14th to 17th of October, 2024 at Chrisland University auditorum.
Participants expected at the conference are policy makers to include Researchers,Clinicians, Pharmacists, Herbal Medicine Practitioners, Lecturers, Scientists, Postgraduate Students, Regulatory Officers and many others stakeholders from other fields of interest relevant to the conference.
With the theme “ Traditional and Herbal Medicine: Challenges and Prospects for Translational Research” the Conference promises to be full of technical information that will be useful for all stakeholders. Other thematic areas to be covered in the conference include: Clinical and Translational Research of Phytotherapies, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Traditional Medicine and Phytotherapies, Commercialization and Economics Benefits of Phytotherapy, Formulation, Standardization and Regulations of Phytotherapies and Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Approaches in the Development of Physiotherapies.
Intended participants who wish to present papers during the conference are to submit their abstracts on any of the thematic topics addressing the scope of the conference. Submitted abstracts should not be more than 250 words structuring background, aims, materials and methods, results and conclusion. The font size to be used should be 12 and written with Times New Roman. The spacing should be 1.5. Authors who are sending abstracts should include their institution affiliations, their email and the address of all authors included in their write up specifying their correspondence. The latest date for the submission of such abstracts to the conference committee is 30th September, 2024 and should be submitted to herbalmedicine_conference2024@chrislanduniversity.edu.ng
Further information on the registration process for the conference includes payments. Staff of Chrisland University who wish to be part of the conference are to pay a subsidized amount of N20,000. Other participants are expected to pay N40,000. Attendees who wish to exhibit products are to pay N250,000 while those presenting products are expected to pay 150,000.
