Nigeria’s Falconets will look to secure a place in the second round at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup when they take on Venezuela at the Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero, Cali, Colombia, today.

Chris Danjuma’s side started their campaign with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Korea Republic.

The West Africans, however, stumbled 3-1 to Germany in their next game.

The Falconets occupy second position in Group D and need to beat the Venezuelans to be sure of a place in the knockout round.

Venezuela have a poor record in this competition, having lost four and drawn one of their five games.

Nigeria have a good record against South American teams at the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The West Africans have won three, drawn one and lost one.
