National Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP) Chief Olu Falae has said that the party was revived due to the failure of the two dominant parties in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to promote the ideals of democracy.

Chief Falae, at the Palace of the Otaru of Auchi, Edo State, when on a courtesy call on the monarch during a campaign tour of Edo North senatorial district, said that the errors made by both parties were the gains of the SDP as the welfare of the people remain its focal point.

He said: “We decided to revive the SDP when we noticed that other political parties were not giving the people the ideals of democracy.
I have never been found wanting in all the offices I had held either as a Managing Director of a bank, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Minister and others.”
