Prof. Kayode Adebowale, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI), has assured candidates seeking admission to the institution’s Distance Learning Centre (DLC) that they will have equal rights and privileges as those on the main campus.
He stated that distance learning students will receive the same certificate as on-campus students upon completion of their programmes.
Speaking in Ibadan to candidates writing Post UTME at the Centre, Adebowale urged them to take advantage of the DLC’s flexible learning opportunities, which combine online and offline instruction.
Adebowale’s assurance demonstrates UI’s commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities for all students, regardless of mode of study.
“There will be no difference between DLC students and those on the main campus; they will have access to the same level of education, resources, and opportunities.”
Prof. Babatunde Omobowale, Director of UI DLC, stated that the Centre has increased access to quality education for working professionals, entrepreneurs, and people living in remote areas.
