Rwanda's President, Paul Kagame
From Rwanda, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that President Paul Kagame has been named by the All Africa Students Union (AASU) as the African President of The Year 2013 in recognition of several pro-youth policies he embarked upon in Rwanda.
According to sources, the award was handed over to him during a ceremony held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, and was received by Rwanda’s Education Minister, Dr Vincent Biruta.
The ceremony which was titled “Africa Education and Leadership Awards” witnessed Dr. Biruta saying the Rwanda’s president was recognized for “his contribution to education and youth empowerment programmes in Rwanda.”
AASU is a continental representative organization of democratic student unions founded in 1972 with 54 member unions.
