The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) will formally inaugurate Pharm. Ambrose Igwekamma Ezeh, MAW, MPH, as its 16th National Chairman on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
The prestigious event will also feature the investiture and conferment of the Distinguished Community Pharmacist (DCPharm) Award to deserving professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the pharmaceutical sector.
Themed “Servant Leadership and Its Impact on Organisational Culture,” the ceremony will highlight the importance of selfless leadership in fostering a positive organizational culture and advancing the pharmacy profession in Nigeria.
According to the organizers, the event will be chaired by Dr. Fidelis Ayebae, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidson Healthcare Plc, a respected figure in the pharmaceutical industry.
The venue for this landmark occasion is Marcelina’s Place, located at 36 Isaac John Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos. The ceremony is scheduled to attract key stakeholders in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, including policymakers, community pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and other dignitaries.
Pharm. Ambrose Igwekamma Ezeh’s inauguration marks a new chapter in the ACPN’s leadership. The Distinguished Community Pharmacist (DCPharm) Award, which will also be conferred during the event, recognizes exceptional contributions to community pharmacy and the overall health sector. Pharm. (Mrs.) Omokhefe Mary Ahore, MAW, DCPharm, the National Secretary of ACPN, and Pharm. Josephine Ehimen, MAW, DCPharm, Chairperson of the Inauguration and Investiture Committee, have emphasized that the event is strictly by invitation.
