Yahaya Bello’s co-defendant, Umar Oricha gets N300M bail with two sureties

Justice Maryann Anenih of the Federal Capital Territory High Court has admitted Umar Shoaib Oricha to bail in the sum of N300 million.

Umar Shoaib Oricha is a co-defendant with former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello in the money laundering charges brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Umar, who is the 2nd defendant, must, however, produce two sureties in the like sum, who shall, in addition, have landed property in the Maitama District of Abuja within the jurisdiction of the court.

He was among others ordered not to travel outside Nigeria without the leave of the court and shall remain in Kuje Correctional Centre pending the fulfilment of the bail conditions.
