A Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke, has warned Nigerians against getting arrested during the festive period. 
According to him, the courts will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays from next week, likewise most law firms. He mentioned that anything that would make a person get arrested and detained now means they would most likely spend the Christmas and New Year holidays in police custody pending the time the courts resume.
