A man has been charged to court for allegedly slaying his wife in Namibia, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.
38-Year Old Buta Epampa appeared at the Rundu Magistrate’s Court for killing his wife following a domestic dispute on last week.
Sources disclosed that Epampa agreed to use a private lawyer from Strauss Attorneys, Petrus Strauss, as the Magistrate postponed the case to October 29, 2013 for further police investigation and to allow the accused time to engage the lawyer.
The accused, according to findings, was alleged to have killed his wife, Isabella Eixas-Epampa, by beating her and slitting her throat around 10h00 last week. It was further disclosed that when police got to the scene of the incident, they found a kitchen knife stained with blood. The couple has twins boys aged one year who were at home at the time of the killing.
Also, further investigation revealed that there is a history of domestic violence between the couple since their marriage in 2009, as the accused would appear in court later this month to face a separate case of domestic violence.
