According to news reaching the desk of CEOAFRICA.com from Abidjan, the capital of Cote D’Ivoire, a Nigerian girl was found dead in a brothel room located in Ajame.

It was revealed that Queen Ebimaho, who arrived in Abidjan few months ago, was seen in the pool of her own blood with series of punctures around her body. She was brought to Abidjan, according to sources, by another Nigerian lady identified as Joy Larry.

According to NAN, many Nigerian girls who are being trafficked into the country take to prostitution as a means of survival, as most of them often face undue harshness from those that patronize them.

One of the Nigerians residing in that same city explained, according to sources, that the issue was not properly handled by the consular office. He disclosed that the embassy also refused to play any role in the burial of the girl.

But, the Consular Officer in the Nigerian Embassy, Mr. Obinna Ogbonna, according to our source, revealed that the consular office officially reported the case to the Ivorian Police where they were told the girl was stabbed to death. He also said the girl has no consular card and that her corpse was taken for burial by a Nigerian identified as Osas, who also resides in Ajame without any official information to the embassy.
