Today marks 130 days in our countdown to "IFEADIGO 2025", the 44th Annual International Scientific Conference of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), scheduled for July 22 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Awka, Anambra. This year's theme is "Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacy Practice."
Did you know that Anambra State is the 8th most densely populated state in Nigeria and is recognized as the 2nd most developed state in the country, following Lagos? The name Anambra was originally Oma Mbala, attributed to the OmaMbala River that flows through the area. The state was officially created on August 27, 1991, from the former East Central State.
The theme for this year’s IFEADIGO conference focuses on the evolving landscape of community pharmacy in the era of rapid technological advancement. Discussions will center around how integrating technology into pharmacy practices can enhance personalized care, improve patient outcomes, and streamline healthcare delivery. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts, engage in workshops, and network with professionals from various sectors, making it an invaluable experience for anyone involved in pharmacy and healthcare.
Anambra's motto, "Light of the Nation," reflects its commitment to progress, innovation, and cultural richness. As we continue toward IFEADIGO 2025, meaning "light has come," let's celebrate the extraordinary achievements and vibrant history of Anambra—a state that embodies excellence and community spirit. This conference is not just a chance to engage with cutting-edge ideas but also an opportunity to contribute to the future of healthcare in Nigeria.
