The European Union’s demand not to allow Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin into the new Serbian cabinet has been described as an unacceptable, gross, and shameless interference in the internal affairs of Serbia.
This was disclosed by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Thursday.
Recall that EU Enlargement Commissioner, Marta Kos had stated that Vulin should not be part of the new Serbian government.
However, in an interview with RIA Novosti, Zakharova suggested that Serbia could join BRICS instead of the European Union.
“We see in the statements of the Euro-bureaucrats, and this is not the first time, a gross and shameless interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
“We believe this is absolutely unacceptable.
“Only the Serbian people can make decisions about the fate of their own country, and the government is responsible, first and foremost, to its voters, its citizens, and its people,” Zakharova told reporters.
