Born in Onitsha, Eastern Nigeria, Sir Louis Mbanefo made history as the first lawyer from the East of Nigeria. During the turbulent times of the Nigerian civil war, Sir Mbanefo was appointed Chief Justice of Biafra and served as Ambassador Plenipotentiary, roles that underscored his commitment to justice and governance during a period of national crisis.
