"With Hon. Umeh at the helm as our Patron, we are confident that we will achieve new heights in our operations and community engagement."
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Umeh expressed gratitude and humility for the dual honor bestowed upon him—both as Patron of OYRTMA and as recipient of the award on behalf of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. "Being appointed as the Patron of OYRTMA is not just a personal achievement; it is a responsibility that I embrace wholeheartedly," he remarked. "I am equally honored to accept this award on behalf of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a testament to our collective efforts in advocating for safer roads and community welfare. Together, we can create an environment where road safety is a shared value, ensuring that every citizen travels with peace of mind."
Hon. Umeh's vision for OYRTMA includes initiatives aimed at enhancing public awareness about traffic laws, launching safety campaigns, and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders to improve transportation infrastructure in the state. His leadership in Ohanaeze Ndigbo has already demonstrated a commitment to community betterment, and this new role as Patron will further extend his influence in the realm of public safety.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries, including local government officials, fellow community leaders, and representatives from various civil society organizations. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, as attendees recognized the potential for positive change with Hon. Umeh's leadership in this critical sector.
As OYRTMA embarks on a new chapter under Hon. Umeh’s patronage, both the agency and the community look forward to a future marked by innovation and collaboration, ultimately enhancing the safety and livability of Oyo State's roads.
