In a spirit of goodwill and connection, Prof. Veronica Obatolu, Executive Director of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), extends heartfelt Eid al-Adha greetings to the Muslim community, both nationally and internationally, celebrating this meaningful occasion with them.

Recognizing the significance of Eid al-Adha as a time for reflection and devotion, Prof. Obatolu emphasized the importance of sacrifice and gratitude. "Eid al-Adha symbolizes not only the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to make great sacrifices but also embodies the virtues of compassion, charity, and community support," she remarked. "This Sallah season gifts us an opportunity to reflect on our blessings and reach out to those who are less fortunate, reaffirming our commitment to serve our communities."

With the IAR&T’s mission centered on advancing agricultural practices and ensuring food security, Prof. Obatolu encourages everyone to embrace the spirit of cooperation and sustainability that prevails during Eid. "As we celebrate, let us also remember the critical role that agriculture plays in our lives," she stated. "By sharing our resources and knowledge, we contribute not only to our own well-being but also to the prosperity and health of our communities."

Prof. Obatolu concluded her message by wishing the Muslim community and their loved ones a spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha, filled with joy, peace, and cherished moments with family and friends. She expressed hope that this festive time fosters deeper connections, inspires generosity, and strengthens our collective resolve to build a more united and compassionate society.
