As we mark 23 days until the ACPN National Conference tagged "IFEADIGO 2025," let’s take a closer look at the impressive New Anambra Government House—a monumental achievement that symbolizes modern governance in Anambra State.
Spanning a vast 23 hectares of land, this new facility features over 2 kilometers of secure fencing and boasts an intricate internal road network with 3.2 kilometers of dual carriageways. The complex includes a high-rise secretariat building, government house, governor’s lodge, clinic, fire station, fuel dump, industrial kitchen, deputy governor’s office, sports complex, amphitheater, computer server building, banquet hall, and residential apartments for civil/public servants.
The architecture and landscaping of the facility stand out, with beautiful lawns, ample parking spaces, and high-speed fiber optic infrastructure integrated throughout. As one of the largest state government houses in Nigeria, this carbon-neutral mega-structure emphasizes sustainability, featuring thousands of economic and ornamental trees in its gardens and along its perimeter, positioning it as potentially the greenest government house in the nation.
Commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on May 8, 2025, the New Anambra Government House is not just a sight to behold but also a cornerstone for effective governance in the state.
With the IFEADIGO 2025 conference approaching, taking place from July 22 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Awka, it serves as a reminder of the vital role that modern infrastructure plays in enhancing public service delivery and community health.
