As we count down to the ACPN National Conference tagged "IFEADIGO 2025," just 20 days away, we turn our attention to an influential leader—Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State. Born on July 28, 1960, in Aguata Local Government Area, Governor Soludo is a distinguished economist and banker. His impressive career includes serving as the Governor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria from May 4, 2004, to May 29, 2009. He was elected governor of Anambra State on March 17, 2022.
Governor Soludo's contributions extend beyond the state as he is a member of the British Department for International Development's International Advisory Group and served on President Buhari's Presidential Economic Advisory Committee.
During a recent courtesy visit from Pharm. Ambrose Ezeh, the ACPN National Chairman, Governor Soludo expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming conference, stating: "I am fully committed to backing the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria as you prepare for this significant conference. Hosting this event not only highlights Anambra's role as a center of excellence in healthcare but also reflects our dedication to fostering innovation in pharmacy practice."
This commitment aligns perfectly with the theme of this year's conference: “Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacists’ Practice in Nigeria.” The conference, taking place from July 22 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Awka, promises to be a pivotal event for stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector, fostering discussions on best practices and advancements.
As we prepare for this tremendous gathering of professionals, we encourage everyone to engage with the discussions that will shape the future of community pharmacy in Nigeria. Stay tuned for more insights as we continue our countdown to IFEADIGO 2025!
