CEOAFRICA MD, Ilobanafor to receive prestigious award at NAPS Inaugural Senate Sitting

Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, Managing Director of CEOAFRICA and initiator of the Geneith Health Competition (GHC), will be honored with an award for excellence on Friday, July 11, 2025, during the 44th Inaugural Senate Sitting of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) at the Polytechnic Ibadan. This recognition underscores his significant contributions to enhancing education and impactful public health initiatives for students and youth across Nigeria.

In a letter addressed to Ilobanafor, NAPS President, Comrade Oyewumi Festus Ayomide, expressed his admiration, stating, “Your unwavering commitment to the advancement of polytechnic education through the Geneith Health Competition is commendable. This initiative has empowered countless students and has made a remarkable impact in the fight against malaria.” The GHC mobilizes youth in developing innovative solutions and grassroots strategies to combat this pressing public health challenge, aiming to create health ambassadors among the youth.

The competition has gained recognition for its dedication to raising awareness about malaria prevention and treatment, equipping participants with essential knowledge to influence their communities positively. It nurtures critical thinking and resourcefulness among polytechnic students, encouraging them to be proactive about health education.

During the NAPS Senate Sitting, Ilobanafor will not only receive the award but will also engage with students, sharing his insights on the Geneith Health Competition and inspiring them to become involved in similar health initiatives. NAPS represents over 10.1 million students from Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Colleges of Agriculture and Technology throughout Nigeria, focusing on advocacy for student welfare and promoting youth empowerment.
