Pharm Elechi Oyim, the National Chairman of the Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists of Nigeria (AHAPN), has expressed profound sorrow while paying tribute to the late Pharm (Sir.) Ifeanyi Atueyi, an iconic figure in the pharmacy profession. Sir Atueyi's life was described as a rare blend of purpose, grace, and unparalleled professionalism, and his contributions to the field have left an indelible mark.

In a heartfelt statement, Chairman Oyim remarked, "Sir Atueyi did not merely practice pharmacy; he embodied it, elevating the profession through his visionary contributions and a life wholly devoted to excellence." He emphasized that Sir Atueyi was not just a man of medicine but also a man of mission—someone sent to illuminate his generation with wisdom, knowledge, and unwavering faith in God.

Through his founding and consistent publication of Pharma News, along with his numerous insightful books, Sir Atueyi became a lighthouse in the sea of healthcare. He shone his light selflessly, educating, inspiring, and empowering generations of pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and the wider public. "He gave knowledge without restraint and mentored without measure," Oyim noted.

Sir Atueyi's commitment to the pharmacy profession distinguished him as an icon, bringing not just change but transformation. As Pharm Oyim reflected, "His departure leaves a void that time may struggle to fill. Yet, his legacy etched deeply in the hearts of all who encountered him will forever remain."

He went on to say, "Your life taught us integrity, humility, and purpose. As you glide toward the great beyond, we are comforted by the certainty that heaven has received a soul refined by service and devotion. You lived your faith, walked in your calling, and touched humanity in a way that only few ever could."

On behalf of the national leadership of the AHAPN and the entire membership, Chairman Oyim extended deepest condolences to Sir Atueyi's family, associates, friends, and the pharmaceutical community at large. "May God grant us all the fortitude to bear this colossal loss," he concluded.
