The University of Ibadan is poised to welcome Professor Aina O. Adeogun as the new Head of the Department of Zoology, with her official appointment scheduled to take effect on Friday, August 1, 2025.

As a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Sciences (NAS), Prof. Adeogun is recognized for her significant contributions to scientific research and education. Her role as the Coordinator of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) Ibadan Branch further underscores her commitment to promoting the participation of women in science and encouraging the next generation of female scientists.
