Dr. Fidelis Akhagboso Ayebae, Founder and Chairman of Fidson Healthcare PLC, set the tone for the D'Bio Wellness & Selfcare Summit during the opening ceremony on September 24, 2025, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Centre.

In his address, which was delivered by Pharm. Friday Enaholo, Assistant General Manager (Marketing) at Fidson, Dr. Ayebae emphasized the crucial role of self-love as the cornerstone of effective self-care.

"The word 'self-care' starts with self-love," Dr. Ayebae stated. "If you love yourself, you will want to achieve wellness and sustain it." He elaborated on the important distinction between external appearances and internal health, noting, "One can look healthy and be sick inside." This insight underscored the need for individuals to prioritize holistic well-being and listen to their bodies for signs that may indicate underlying health issues.

Dr. Ayebae’s message resonated with the audience, urging everyone to embrace the concept of self-care proactively and apply it in their various professions. He called for collective efforts to support D’Bio by enlightening individuals in their respective areas of practice, suggesting that by doing so, they can empower others to become ambassadors for self-care.
