The Osun State Police Command has called on members of the public to assist in locating the family of a dumb man found in Modakeke, Osun State.

The Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, in a statement issued on Monday, said the man was found at Adelola Area, Modakeke, on October 3, 2025.

According to him, “The found person is a male who is unable to speak and was dressed in a campala outfit when he was discovered.”

The police described the man as “dark in complexion, without any tribal marks, and approximately 3.4 feet tall.”

He was also said to “have an oval-shaped face, which could assist relatives or members of the public in identifying him.”

DSP Ojelabi also stated that the police were making efforts to trace his relatives and had issued the public notice to assist in reuniting the man with his family.

“The relatives of the above person shown on the screen are enjoined to contact the Divisional Police Headquarters, Modakeke Division, or the Family Unit, Oke-Fia, Osun State,” the statement read.

The Command urged anyone with useful information about the said man or his family should report to the nearest police station in the state.
