The outreach, which took place at the CIC grounds as part of the day’s scheduled activities, formed a major highlight of the reunion’s “give-back” initiatives. It reflected the set’s commitment to supporting community wellbeing and strengthening the bond between CIC alumni and the society that helped shape their early lives.
Residents from surrounding communities, including the elderly, women, children and vulnerable groups, trooped in large numbers to access the free healthcare services. A medical team comprising volunteer doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals—many of whom are distinguished alumni of CIC—offered consultations, health checks, screenings and counselling.
Common ailments such as malaria, hypertension, infections and musculoskeletal issues were addressed, while more complex cases were referred for follow-up treatments. Attendees also received free essential medications courtesy of donations from members of the “Semper Fidelis” and partner supporters who backed the humanitarian initiative.
Speaking during the outreach, representatives of the organising committee described the gesture as a way of honouring the values instilled in them during their formative years at CIC—service, compassion and leadership. They noted that the class remained committed to contributing meaningfully to national development, beginning with small but significant interventions in their immediate communities.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely support, acknowledging how the outreach eased the financial burden of healthcare and provided hope for those who rarely have access to routine medical services.
The medical outreach was complemented by other community-focused activities lined up for the day, including academic competitions and a prize-giving session at the school, followed later by a friendly alumni football match and an evening hangout.
With the reunion scheduled to run until November 2, members of the Semper Fidelis Class of ’94 say their goal is not only to reconnect and celebrate three decades of progress, but also to leave a lasting impact on the CIC community and the lives of those around them.
