His Royal Highness, AIG Bashir E. Makama Dabup III (psc+Rtd), the Mwo-Ywom of Garkawa, Plateau State and esteemed leader of the Ywom Traditional Council, has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and the entire people of the State.
In a goodwill message issued by the revered monarch, he expressed profound gratitude to the government and people for their resilience, unity, and communal spirit throughout the year. He described this season of celebration as a time for renewed hope, reflection, and collective purpose.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the joy of Christmas and the promise of the approaching New Year usher in a season filled with peace, progress, and prosperity for all residents of the state.
“As we celebrate this blessed season of Christmas, and look forward to the dawn of a New Year, may our hearts be filled with hope, our homes be graced with peace, and our endeavours be crowned with success. I pray that 2026 will be a year marked by progress, unity and abundant blessings for Plateau State.”
The Mwo-Ywom further urged citizens to embrace the spirit of compassion, love, and selfless service — principles that he emphasized are central to enduring peace and sustainable development. He reiterated his unwavering commitment to championing the welfare and cultural heritage of his people.
His Royal Highness also commended Governor Mutfwang for his administration’s efforts in promoting inclusive growth and equitable development across the state, affirming that “leadership rooted in service builds a stronger community for all.”
