As Nigeria steps into 2026, the National Chairman of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Pharm. Ezeh Ambrose Igwekamma, has extended New Year greetings to community pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and Nigerians across the country.

In his New Year message, Pharm. Igwekamma described the turn of the year as “an opportunity to recalibrate, refocus, and recommit ourselves to excellence in service and professionalism.”

“2026 presents a fresh canvas,” he said. “It is a time for renewed dedication to ethical practice, stronger collaboration within the health sector, and deeper engagement with the communities we serve.”

The ACPN Chairman emphasized the pivotal role of community pharmacists as the most accessible healthcare professionals, noting that the new year calls for greater vigilance, patient education, and responsible pharmaceutical care.

“Our pharmacies remain critical entry points into the healthcare system. In 2026, we must continue to strengthen trust, promote rational medicine use, and support public health through professional diligence and compassion,” he stated.

Pharm. Igwekamma also urged Nigerians to prioritize preventive healthcare and informed health decisions, stressing that a healthier population is essential for national productivity and development.

He concluded by wishing all Nigerians a fulfilling year ahead, saying, “I wish community pharmacists, healthcare workers, and the Nigerian people a New Year marked by good health, professional growth, stability, and collective progress. May 2026 reward our efforts with meaningful outcomes and shared advancement.”
