The 2026 event marks the fifth annual clinical nutrition conference of the West African Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (WASPEN), underscoring its growing influence in advancing nutrition care across Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
2. The Conference Focuses on Sustainable Clinical Nutrition Services
With the theme “Sustainable Clinical Nutrition Services: Ensuring Access, Safety, and Collaboration,” the conference will address how hospitals and health systems can build long-term, safe and inclusive nutrition support services.
3. It Will Hold in Asaba, Delta State
The four-day conference is scheduled for June 22–25, 2026, at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, positioning Delta State as a hub for high-level discussions on clinical nutrition.
4. It Targets a Multidisciplinary Health Audience
Participants are expected from across healthcare disciplines, including nutritionists, pharmacists, clinicians, nurses, academics, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, reflecting WASPEN’s emphasis on interprofessional collaboration.
